About this tool
WCAG 2.2 level AA asks for a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text and 3:1 for large text (18pt, or 14pt bold) and for user interface components and graphics. Level AAA asks for 7:1 for normal text. The ratio is computed from the relative luminance of the two colors. Text over images or gradients needs a manual check. The default grey on white is a classic near miss: #767676 is the lightest grey that passes AA on white.
